A member asked:

Is ketamine effective for depression and aniexty? i have read in the ncbi, that patients were significantly better for 1 month. i have found doctors that do it around my area, but is this worth a try?

Research on the benefits of Ketamine is certainly ongoing, and psychiatric conditions are being studied. So far, there is not FDA approval for use in numerous emotional disorders, but would be worthwhile to get involved in one of the ongoing studies.

Your current treating physician along with one of the doctors offering ketamine treatments would be best to weigh in based on details of your conditions, previous response to treatment, results so far for similar patients among others.
