At your age with failed cardioversion and ablation in the past rate control with medications and pacemaker are more reasonable to me.

In my experience if your atria are enlarged, ablation often fails. I agree that anticoagulants, medications to control rhythm or rate with a permanent demand pacemaker inserted if the necessary meds tend to slow down your ventricular rate too much is a good alternative.
