I have had cryo-ablation three cardioversions and still afib, now want to do an ablation with heat and start tikosyn. would a pacemaker be better?

No: A pacemaker is not a treatment for atrial fibrillation. Depending upon your age bracket, forgoing further invasive treatment may be advisable as taking rate controlling medications plus chronic anticoagulant is more convenient for older patients or those with very enlarged atria.. Discuss this with your cardiologist.

2nd opinion: Believe it is time for you to get a 2nd opinion to find out what may be a better option for you given that 3 attempts on ablation have failed.
