Optometrist found no tears, and he thinks it's early pvd. symptoms suddenly started a month ago, i am constantly getting flashes of light in my peripherals everytime i blink or look around, is that normal for pvd? do the flashes ever stop or lessen?

I hope he performed a dilated retinal exam, if you are still having symptoms see an ophthalmologist for a dilated exam with scleral depression if needed. Better to be safe than sorry.
