Low hgb: Recent data show a J or U curve with a high hgb associated with abnormal brachial/ankle index in PVD in males maybe from viscosity. If hgb is 8.8 g/dl that low and may affect exertional ability due to low oxygen carrying capacity. Normal hgb is 13.8 to 17.2 in males and 12.1 to 15.1 in females. ( Keep it on the lower end for PVD). F/u/ w/ MD https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC494653

No, : All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your hemoglobin is abnormally low and you should be evaluated by your doctor for the cause and appropriate treatment. Wish you good health!
