Chewing tobacco does not cause oral thrush (oral candidiasis) but it can cause leukoplakia which may be mistaken with oral thrush. This practice can cause serious gum, tongue, cardiovascular disease so it should be stopped as soon as possible. Good luck and take care.

I would be more worried about oral cancer than thrush. But to answer your question, no.

Chewing tobacco causes oral cancer and oral cancer can have the appearance of thrush! Go see your dentist for an evaluation ASAP.
