If i am taking a 24 hour urine test for catecholamines, can i drink one cup of coffee or will that effect the test too much? what does this test really look for?

Pheochromocytoma usually. Ask the lab doing the test if their test picks up stuff in coffee. Do not put penis into jug to pee as it contains acid-the jug that is. Pheo is VERY VERY rare. And almost always causes high blood pressure. I have been looking for them in those with HNT and not seen (or recognized) one for the last 30 years in hypertension. Maybe 5000 patients in that time.
