This may be normal: and may be controlled by decreasing your coffee intake, particularly in the afternoon/evening. Caffeine acts as a diuretic as you likely know. Physiologic nocturnal diuresis occurs where the kidneys produce more urine while the body is recumbent as this position causes increased blood flow to the kidney. Urologic problems such as overactive bladder and small bladder capacity require urologic eval.
