A member asked:

Got 3 fillings over the past few months (2 molars& 1 pre-molar) noticed that the dentist used flowable material which is translucent & didn't use any tooth colour resin. is this the same as composite filling? are they long lasting?

I would ask this of your dentist there as what they use may be different that what is used here. We do have dentists here who may also answer. I am not a dentist.

The dentist may have used a sealant which could mean they were shallow problems. Ask your dentist at the next checkup to confirm the material.

There are literally scores of flowable materials on the market. Without knowing the exact product (s)he used, your question is unanswerable. The best person to ask about the choice of restorative materials is your Dentist.
