These are usually lymph nodes that are buried in the tissues of the chin. They enlarge when they are processing debris from irritation or germs found in the nearby skin or oral cavity. I would look to localized mouth or gum disease before I would consider a systemic process like HIV.

2 different things: lumps are likely inflamed lymph nodes or so called reactive lymph nodes where it is likely that there is locally an area that is inflamed/infected, second is HIV related anxiety as it sounds like you are terrified of getting infected. For peace of mind see your doc for an exam and talk about ways of alleviating your HIV related anxiety.

You have concerns about 2 issues. The lumps are most probably involved lymph nodes trapping pathogens from dental infection, so first of all see your Dentist. May be infected teeth or gum disease. Then seek information about safe sex from your OBGyn. He/she will help you better understand HIV, it's causes, treatment, and prevention.

Well, your instincts are right, but specifics are off. There are several STDs that can be contracted through oral sex including gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, HPV, and chlamydia. Fortunately, HIV requires a bit more effort but nevertheless see a doctor for a complete STD screen and use protection going forward, even for oral sex.
