A member asked:

Supposing am having protected sex ( with a condom) with a woman and i ejaculate but however i stay erect, if i continue with the sex round with the same condom, can the condom remain safe to protect against hiv and other stis till i ejaculate again?

Condoms do not protect against all STIs. Herpes and HPV are transmitted from skin to skin contact.

Condoms protect against STI's transmitted by fluids e.g gonorrhea and HiV but not from those by skin to skin e.g. Hpv and Hsv per CDC guidance. It is always good to know the partners sexual health. Next best thing is a condom
