Good afternoon doctors. my cardiologist did bloodwork to check serum immunofixation and monoclonal....could you please explain what this test is for and what it means if test results are not good? what are treatment options?

You would need to have at least a telemedicine visit. If these results were abnormal you are best seeing a hematologist in person , or via telemedicine

In all likelihood you doctor wanted to rule a disorder of the immune system in general and multiple myeloma in particular. Wait for the results rather than getting ahead of yourself.
