I asked about cryptic pregnancy & if a pregnancy test would be correct after 5.5 months. the response was it would be obvious at that point if someone was pregnant unless theyre obese, i thought some people dont gain weight w/ cryptic pregnancy?

Pregnancy test is a measure of hormones produced in the body and it is HCG being elevated from the placenta long before 5 months and its reduction may indicate loss of pregnancy before bleeding and could be very high with abnormality as well. People would gain variable weight with pregnancy but most people choose to ignore when it is very small. Large abdomen/obesity may make it difficult to see.
