I have a bm every morning like a clock work but it's most days very hard and painful to pass. this has caused me an anal fissure which prevents me from working due to the pain. nothing seem to work to keep my bm loose. i would appreciate any ideas?

To keep BM from being too hard try drinking lots of water, roughage in diet, fruit -like figs, prunes, melon, mangos, stool softeners, avoid cheese and too much meat, and exercise. Re fissure use a Sitz bath. It might heal when the hardness of stool is gone If still not improved. See a Gastro MD for evaluation. Good luck.
