Can you get contact dermatitis without it being itchy and just be red spots?

Sometimes it's not possible to distinguish allergic type contact dermatitis from a primary skin reaction,such as from solvents, for example. Allergic contact dermatitis is almost invariably itchy but not in every case, unlike with hives.
