Sorry, but there is no way to effectively (and safely) answer this question in this or any other online forum, especially since you have been prescribed two different opioid (narcotic) pain medications. Agree with Dr Handsfield regarding need to fully assess the underlying pain generator. But a word of advice: DO NOT TAKE THE TARGIN WITH THE CODEINE, AS THE FORMER IS OXYCODONE AND THE MIX CAN BE DEADLY. Talk to your doctor before taking the Targin. Hopefully, solely one doctor is providing narcotics, as it is dangerous to have two separate physicians doing this.
