Suggest you see a dermatologist for proper treatment, which might consist of topical or systemic antibiotics along with benzoyl peroxide washes and topical retinoids.

Benzoyl Peroxide is the traditional treatment for acne. Adding another drying agent may help, but watch for excessive dryness or irritation. Acne really is a chronic problem and seems to last much longer than desired in just about everyone. If your acne is worse as an adult, consider stress, medication, and please have your doctor check for other problems.
