Yes, if you have chronic atrial fibrillation and rate is under control. Cardiologist will decide how to handle your anticoagulant perioperatively. Usually, if you are taking non warfarin anticoagulant, the medication can be held one day pre-op and then restarted post op if no problem during the operation.
