The reason to delay retesting to 3+ weeks is that false positive results are possible. However, a negative result any time after treatment is completely reliable. You're cured. However, standard advice is that you should be retested once more 3-4 months after treatment. This detects reinfection, which is quite common for both chlamydia and gonorrhea. Better safe than sorry!
