Because Covid-19 can affect almost every system in the body, the possibility of decrease platelet count is there. Both abnormally increased and abnormally decreased platelet counts have been noted in the Covid-19 spectrum depending on the mildness or severity of the infection. Best to stay close to the PCP/Hematologist guidance and not hesitate to tell them of any new symptoms.

Platelet count varies a lot with each blood draw and your last number is still within normal limits (150 - 450K/microL). The change can be significant if the count drops 50% from the previous one which has to be 117 or lower if we take 234 as the baseline number. You have nothing to worry.
