For mild to moderate diverticulitis, a recent study showed that there is no difference between treatment or not but if we decide to treat, we often use a wide spectrum antibiotic with an antibiotic for anaerobic organism. So if you think you are intolerable to one of them, your doctor needs to change amclavox to a quinolone or metronidazole to clindamycin. How many days have you taken the meds?
