There are many foods and supplements which have been used for lowering BP but I wonder if you can take it everyday for BP control, e.g. eating beet every day, instead of taking a simple medication which has proven effective with controlled studies and years of experience. You can start with low salt diet, low calories intake and exercise for weight loss so systolic pressure can drop about 10-15%.
