You are thirsty for a different reason than elevated liver enzymes. You probably should respond to your body's need for fluid intake. The liver enzymes could be elevated because of alcohol and that may have precluded you from taking adequate water. Alcohol could cause inflammation in the liver is why there is elevated liver enzymes, however there are also viruses and other things that could.

It is not the liver enzymes making you thirsty, but a different condition causing both, an elevated blood glucose as seen in diabetes can cause both thirst and elevated liver enzymes and among many others. Follow up with your doc in order to clarify.
