I have very bad bile reflux and gastropathy, (seen on egd) seen multiple mds. have been taking omeprazole. nothing else helps. burning and nausea. helped for a while but need to increase dose. is it okay to take when on plavix ? on plavix for a stent?

GERD & bile reflux can coexist. Bile reflux is much more difficult to treat& perhaps.the omeprazole is controlling GERD in your case. Some feel that it can actually increase the degree of bile reflux. It is reported that omeprazole reduces the effect of plavix & the combination is not recommended so it's not a good idea for you to increase the dose. I'm sure you're trying all the lifestyle changes
