If you have not had a quinolone antibiotic, ask your ENT physician, as chronic sinus infections require increased local diffusion of antibiotics , which is often achieved with medications such as Levoquin, as opposed to penicillin and cephalothin types of antibiotics. Sinus cavities are outside the normal exposure from blood levels, and are considered as similar to abscesses.
