Hello. i have what looks like to be an intense case of athletes foot. i have open blisters, they are itchy, & swollen. when i itch is when they open up and bleed. my doctor said its concerning and wants to discuss treatment? what could be going on?

With this severe a case you may be better off being evaluated, treated and followed up by a podiatrist.

If you have sever athlete’s foot I would either recommend an oral anti fungal or I would apply anti fungal cream on affected areas. Then place your foot in a plastic bag and place a sock over the bag and foot. This is called an occlusive dressing. If your feet perspire a lot then spraying with an anti-deodorant or roll-on would be also helpful
