See your dentist: Brush, floss and use a tongue scraper. When was your last dental checkup and cleaning? See your dentist for a thorough examination. You may have calculus, cavities, broken fillings, etc. All of which can contribute to halitosis. There are also some medical causes. Professional exam: There are so many reasons for you to be having a bad smell that you really need to get a professional exam. You could have decay or gum disease even acid reflux. Toothpastes or mouthwashes can only mask these problems for a short while. They do cure anything.

Tongue scraper: Perhaps you should try purchasing and using a tongue scraper. Many mouth odors are related to stuff growing on the back of the tongue. If that doesn't do it see your doctor. Sometimes it is related to systemic disease processes.

Mouth odors-: Bad odors in the mouth can come from various sources. You could be dealing with gum disease, sinus problems, dietary sources, diabetes or other systemic diseases, poor brushing and flossing techniques and so on. I would suggest starting with discussing the problem with your dentist and eliminating the sources he is familiar with. If no help, physician next, ENT also.

Bad breath: How long has it been since you have had a professional tooth cleaning? It may be necessary to consult with a physician to rule out medical issues. Using tooth paste is a good idea as it helps to remove the foods that can cause bad breath. Flossing is essential to remove the food from between your teeth.

Bad breath: Brushing alone is not sufficient to remove bacteria from between the teeth, it may not be effective enough to remove some food debris as well, especially if you have crowded and overlapping teeth. it is also important to brush or scrape your tongue because millions of bacteria are colonizing around the little bumps (papillae) there. If you have acid reflux this could lead to a problem as well.

Many reasons: Many reasons for bad breath. Usually caused by sulfur producing bacteria and decaying food debris. Brushing alone isn't enough. You need to brush at least 2x/day for 2 full minutes by the clock w a pea-sized portion of toothpaste. you need to clean between teeth (floss/Water Pik) daily. You need to brush or scrape top of tongue daily. Can also be due to meds, gastric reflux, infected tonsil
