A member asked:

I took my last letrozole pill yesterday to induce ovulation. ive been having discomfort on my left side towards the left ovary. is that normal? im sure it is too soon for ovulation to occur?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Letrozole is used to induce ovarian follicles secondary to inhibition of estrogen production, causing pituitary stimulation to effect ovulation. Rapid follicle production/stimulation can cause pain which might be relatively unexpected by a non-ovulating candidate.
