8 days postpartum. ive been feeling this on/off throbbing ache that lasts 10 seconds or so i my back rib cage. sometimes positional, sometimes not. doesnt hurt when i breathe in but still worried about pe. had a regular vaginal delivery?

An aching pain is usually associated with chest wall inflammation. Musculoskeletal pain may be treated with local heat and ibuprofen, after discussion with your physician. The risk for PE should be addressed though. If in moderate pain,short of breath or feeling lightheaded, please see Emergency room right away.
