If you have the flu and can test positive on an influenza test, then a Dr can prescribe Tamiflu or another antiviral medication. This will shorten the course of the infection. Make sure you are getting lots of rest, drinking plenty of non caffeinated fluids, and treating your symptoms with Ibuprofen, decongestant and cough med if needed.
