What are the different causes of slightly elevated platelets? everything else was normal. i have been sick with bad sinus infection. thanks for your time and help?

The sinus infection or any other infections because of the inflammatory process could cause elevated platelets; so could other situations of inflammation even when there is no infection because of chemicals produced during the process in the body. Elevated platelets could also be due to other things like dysfunction in response to chemical control in the body.
