You should be fine if you are healthy and family members have not had problem with the same cat so the odd is low. However, if you unfortunately catch the disease which is typically characterized by self-limited regional lymphadenopathy (enlarged regional lymph nodes). This disease can be treated with antibiotic(s) even with the serious disseminated forms.
