Is this a marked change in your usual bowel pattern? You don't mention whether the ascending colon is dllated which would point to obstruction, either by impacted stool or other obstructing entities such as colon tumor in the descending colon. If you haven't already consulted a gastroenterologist, do so. If you have, I recommend consulting an abdominal surgeon.
