I have pots syndrome, follow my doctors recommendations & am normally very active but when i have a flare , it knocks me out and is disabling. how do i best explain to or deal with unsympathetic people who dont understand?

Tell them to read about POTS & its symptoms. An episode of significant rapid heart rate combined with a precipitous dropping of blood pressure over a period of 15-30 minutes leaves one quite weakened and washed out and takes some time to recover.
