There can be more than one reasons for your back pain. The most likely cause is muscular sprain/strain and it will settle down in 2-4 weeks. If the pain continues and especially if it gets progressively worse then you should visit a physician for check up. Imaging studies such as a CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis may be a consideration to check out all structures in and around your back.

Could be simple Sprain or Strain or Muscle Spasm. Could also be mild Arthritis. If symptoms persist, best to see PCP and proceed from there if indicated.
