It can’t be avoided if taken long enough but you can reduce the possibility by having “ drug holidays “. By that if you you stop for 48 hours every two weeks you may prev that occur ring. Good Luck

Gabapentin if taken as prescribed will not cause tolerance. Be aware of the many side effects and reasons to be careful of its usage.
