My husband had a severe case of bronchitis in 2018, he recovered from it but he still caugh a lot, sometimes a dry caugh, could the bronchitis be still giving him issues today?

Bronchitis could be chronic if your husband is prone to it. The exposure he has to dust, fumes, smokes may also make it more likely to be ongoing. You cannot change his predisposition but you could change his exposure.

A chronic dry cough may be related to bronchospasm or changes in the structure of the airway. A HT consultation is available. PFTs and a chest image are recommended. Discuss whether humidified air, nebulized saline and allergy testing is recommended. A sputum sample would provide additional information.
