U can try: Mucinex (guaifenesin) DM for a week.One can get a lingering cough for weeks after an upper respiratory viral infection.It is important to make sure this has not developed into pneumonia.Any fever,chills,sweats,shortness of breath,chest pain,change in sputum would prompt a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia.Good luck
