Cough: The cough from bronchitis can sometimes take over 6 weeks to fully resolve. As long are you are getting better give it time. If you start to get worse, have fevers, or cough up blood then you should get checked out again. If you smoke you need to stop or just get used to coughing...

Residual cough: It takes 3-4 weeks for the symptoms of bronchitis to completely resolve. The cough can sometimes persist for up to 6 weeks. If you are generally feeling better and not experiencing any other symptoms such as fevers, chest pains, difficulty breathing then you are probably getting better. If your symptoms are worse you need to see your doctor to ensure you haven't developed a pneumonia

When coughing stops: As long as you have coughing (if you have phlegm, it is no longer a dry cough). the bronchitis has not gone. If an inhaler helps it, you may have a mild case of asthma instead. If you do smoke, it s time to try stopping it.
