I tested positive for syphilis and was administered bicillin la 1.2 million - i see that the recommended dose is 2.4 million. will the half dosage i received still work? or should i find another doctor to administer the proper dosage?

1.2 million units probably would work, but hasn't been studied; better to be safe than sorry and have the full dose. If you are sure you received only 1.2 million, it would be best to have additional treatment. If it has only been a couple of days, you could just have another 1.2 million dose. If longer than that, you should repeat treatment with the full 2.4 million unit dose.
