In the last 2 months, i have woken up with red flushed cheeks at least six times. then yesterday, i woke up with a 100.2 fever. the fever lasted an hour and hasn't come back. that just doesn't seem right. it indicates something but i don't know what?

This is not enough information to say if you have infection or not. The best thing may be to set up appointment with your doctor so you could be evaluated. A flushed cheek or temperature of 100.2 if you were sleeping under a comforter may just mean you had too much clothes and covering on when you were asleep. If you have other symptoms cough, urinary problems e.t.c. may suggest infection.
