Son was hospitized w covid for 11 days & got covid pneumonia. grand god he made it & came home with oxygen. how long will it take for him to eventually get off the oxygen?

That is unknown as many other variables will play a role in his recovery, such as the amount of damage he suffered on his lungs, comorbid conditions, differential in the functional status and starting level among others. Establishing with a pulmonary specialist might help in better setting up expectations.

Your son is on "the mend", but need for oxygen implies persistently low pulse oximeter values secondary to hypoxia. There is no precise roadmap for lung healing or recovery, as this varies from one to another. However, after several weeks to a few months, he will gradually improve, and will be capable of more exertional activity. Work closely with pulmonary specialist.
