A member asked:

I tested and have hsv1 antibodies and occasional oral outbreaks. if my partner has asymptomatic hsv1, is it possible to reinfect my partner on the genitals or mouth? if it is possible, how likely is that to happen?

People are immune to new infections with the HSV type they already have. So if your partner already has HSV1, he will never catch it from you and you need not take any precautions in sex or other contact with each other.
