Whenever i am about to fall asleep, i get this strange sensations in my leg, from calves till foot, usually it also happens in both legs & due to which i can't sleep as i have to fold legs for relief. it goes on for half an hour then goes away on own?

Would suspect you have "Restless Leg Syndrome", which can be controlled easily by a dopamine agonist or gabapentin. See your physician, get diagnosed and treated as needed.
