A member asked:

Can covid cause severe sore throat? strep test was negative?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

In the people and patients that I have experience with, this variant hasn't caused a severe sore throat. However, if your rapid strep culture was negative, and especially if you have headache, muscle aches and pains and a cough coming from the trachea, you could have covid. Self isolate and get tested. Drink lots of fluids
