Yes. It is possible to have a bacterial infection like strep throat at the same time as a viral infection. Many viral infections of the throat are even more painful and red than strep. People can also carry strep in their throat during the fall & winter months and it not be an infection.

It is possible. Your doctor can test you for Strep infection. Strep is more treatable than Covid.
