You can but I would question if you need to. In general, antibiotics and steroids are not recommended for viral illnesses (with some exceptions). Sometimes with significant underlying conditions like COPD or asthma, they may be needed but for basically healthy people, probably not. Cannot say for you in particular, I would encourage you to ask your prescriber.

Yes, it sounds like your treatment got escalated and both amoxicillin and steroids can be taken same day, make sure you follow your prescribers recommendations.
