Mgt: He can start it once it has been prescribed and used as directed. If he experiences fever, chills or worsening pain, he should see your physician right away. A routine follow up appointment in three weeks can be scheduled.

Immediately: It might actually be too soon to tell whether the azithromycin would eventually work.It is not a fast acting drug, and what you gave will hang around for a while.However, the amoxicillin can be started immediately, the overlap is not a problem.You may want to start some probiotics because meds can mess up his digestive bacteria.
