Maybe: Contact your OB before doing any surgery requiring drugs that may affect your baby.

Wisdom teeth: Unless it is an emergency, elective surgery should wait until after the baby is born. If removal of the wisdom teeth for any reason cannot wait, the safest time is during the 2nd trimester. In any case always check with both your ob /gyn and your oral surgeon.

Talk to Dentist: Most teeth extractions can be done under local anesthesia with a cooperative patient. If there are especially impacted teeth then some sedation might be indicated. There are medications that we prefer not to give to pregnant women. If you have concerns please contact your dentist and discuss these fears with him. Good luck.
