Many possible causes for blood in phlegm. Bronchitis, Pneumonia, pulmonary edema, blood clot in lung and many other reasons. If this condition continues see a doctor immediatley.

This might be a strange question, but can the air used for clearing your throat bring up phlegm from the lungs? No cough, but on occasion have found blood in sputum after clearing throat. Also suffer from PN drip/allergies/asthma. Worried about NSCLC
